The GearMaster can be installed and calibrated on most trucks in less than ten minutes.  The process is very simple.

Installation:

To install the GearMaster, simply plug one end of the included cable into the truck's data port and the other end into the GearMaster.  Put the GearMaster in place, usually on top of the dash and you are ready to go.

Note: The GearMaster comes provided with "Dual-Lock"™ adhesive strips (similar to Velcro™, but more secure) so the unit can be held firmly in place but can also be easily removed and remounted whenever desired.

 Gear Calibration

With the GearMaster in place, calibrating the gears is normally just a matter of driving the truck for a few seconds in each gear and pressing the "SET" button on the top panel of the GearMaster.  Once you have calibrated the GearMaster to your truck, the settings will be retained indefinitely even if you disconnect or remove the GearMaster from the truck.  There is no need to repeat the calibration unless you are moving the GearMaster to a different truck.

 Range Line Calibration

Setting the range lines (full operating range and "sweet spot" range) is just as simple.  Select the end of the line you wish to modify, bring your engine up to the desired RPM and press the "SET" button.

Other Settings

Other settings include day and night brightness;kilometers vs. Miles per hour; displaying or hiding the digital tachometer and speedometer and other items.  These are all very easy to accomplish and are described in the owners operating manual.
